Techniques

Tiina incorporates a variety of techniques and tools into her treatments to help her patients achieve their goals, including:

  • General Swedish Techniques

  • Myofascial Release

  • Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (to help improve range of motion)

  • Manual Lymph Drainage

  • Kine Taping

  • Trigger Point Therapy

  • Scar Tissue Manipulation

 

Treating Hours

Mondays & Wednesdays 2 pm - 8 pm

Thursdays  8 am - 2 pm

Saturdays (alternate) 8 am - 2 pm

From an early age, Tiina always knew that she wanted to pursue a career in health and fitness. Her background in sports and experience with various sports injuries piqued an interest in Tiina to learn more about the human body, and has ultimately led her to massage therapy. She continues to remain active in her downtime with taekwondo, downhill skiing, and cycling. One of her proudest and most recent athletic achievements was earning a black belt in Taekwondo!

 

Tiina completed her massage therapy training at Sutherland-Chan School and Teaching Clinic in 2014 and has since then joined the faculty as an instructor, teaching classes such as therapeutic exercise, hydrotherapy, and physiology. Prior to studying massage therapy, she attended York University, where she received her B.Sc. with Specialized Honours in Kinesiology and Health Science.

 

Tiina’s clinical practice is focused on promoting wellness and active living to help maintain overall health. Her interests include injury prevention, sports rehabilitation, overall wellness, and health sciences. She strongly believes that maintenance is the key to prevention.
