Katherine Hall, MSW RSW
My name is Katherine and I’m an experienced clinician and Registered Social Worker who has been providing counselling and therapy to children, youth and families for 6+ years across the Greater Toronto Area. If you or your children are dealing with challenges or changes and need help coping, therapy could be one avenue to consider in terms of gaining the skills and support to get you through.
I really believe that every individual has the innate ability to cope with challenges in their lives, but sometimes it's hard to draw out those abilities on our own when we need them. I'm here to support you in tapping into that ability to cope; to help you deal with the struggles and celebrate the wins as you go through the ups and downs that come with life.
Some of the issues I have supported clients through include school stress, bullying, relationship issues, divorce, suicidality and crisis situations, disordered eating, sexuality and coming out, trauma, anxiety and depression.
In terms of my approach I use a collaborative model of therapy that incorporates elements of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness Practice, Narrative Therapy and Brief Solution-Focused Therapy. I also have a special interest in Distance Therapy techniques and incorporate them into my private practice so I can support individuals inside and outside of Southern Ontario via video, text, phone and email sessions.
I am very excited to be joining The Healthy Joint family and if you are interested in my services I invite any members of the community to reach out to schedule a free initial assessment appointment with me to see if my approach would fit with your needs.
