Heath Mason, RMT
"The benefits of massage can be found in the treatment of an acute injury, chronic issues, or just a part of regular physical and mental maintenance."
A CMTO licensed Registered Massage Therapist, Heath is a graduate of the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy. He is also certified under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and has been certified and trained in CPR (all levels) and Emergency and Standard First Aid by the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada. While studying at CCMH, Heath was fortunate to have work placements at Toronto’s Hospital for Sick Kids as wellas Fife House Hospice.
In addition to his formal training in Swedish style massage therapy, he has been trained in techniques that focus on deep tissue, myofascial release, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF), trigger point release therapy, remedial exercise and stretching, and in the treatment of TMJ dysfunction.
Thursdays 2:00pm - 8:00pm
Saturdays 9:00am - 2:00pm
His interests include automotive service, for which he has a diploma, motorcycles, snowboarding and Crossfit training. An avid traveller, Heath’s most recent trips have taken him to Santorini, Athens and Mykonos, London, Maui, San Francisco and Los Angeles. But, he considers the year he spent as a teacher of English as a second language (ESL), through various YMCA in Toyama, Japan, to have been most formative. Planning lessons and curriculum while teaching over 200 Japanese students was challenging and helped him develop respect and establish the patience needed for exceptional customer service.
Heath’s goal for his clients is to help them begin and/or maintain a healthy balance in life with massage being a key element. The benefits of massage can be found in the treatment of an acute injury, chronic issues, or just a part of regular physical and mental maintenance.
